Good Evening!
It stormed hard this afternoon - so hard the wind blew my new umbrella out
into the front yard from the deck after it snapped the metal arm like a
twig! Winds come strong to Michigan - like the snow .
Thank god THAT'S gone though, and here are the wildflower meadows back of
the house this spring. I promised my soldier friend Jason I'd send him a
little slice of Middle America - the Heartland - since he obviously misses
home. Kuwait at 130+ degrees this week. Makes our 90's seem chilly! But
their humidity isn't as bad. With all the rain, the wildflowers popped out
all over the place. Hope you enjoy the pictures, Jase.

The great Hickory tree makes a perfect backdrop for
a wildflower meadow at Redbud Farms
Redbud Farms meanders along walking paths
cut through the tall grass and wildflowers
The road to the tree line cuts through wildflowers,
aspen and fruit trees, and native grasses at the Farm
Birds, bunnies, bugs, moles, turkeys, wild
Bobwhite quail, and many other living creatures call these meadows "home."
