Packs are a cheery Sunflower mix of lemon petals with brown faces, rusty red petals with
chocolate brown centers. A few Russian Mammoths are scattered in to illustrate the
grandeur and beauty of a giant "Skyscraper" Sunflower on a hot, July day, bending ever towards the Sun
as it reaches skyward. The smaller flowering plants may only get a foot tall, while the
mammoths can exceed 8 feet in height! Some stalks boast multiple flowers, each a unique
delight to see, especially when cut and tucked into a bouquet of Supreme Variety Zinnias
and cool blue Bachelor Buttons!
We've added the
Velvet Queen (burgundy, velvety face and petals!) and Teddy Bear Sun (the "hairy"
sunflower) to the mix this year! 50+ seeds per pack. Your summer garden
and cut flower arrangements aren't
complete without them! The lemon yellow petaled ones I call
"Degas." They look exquisite in a pastel ceramic green,
pink, or yellow vase!
Some variegated varieties are also included for comic relief from these
intense beauties. Some of these are light lemon with whisps of burgundy
around the centers. Others are more burgundy than yellow! Either way, a
delight to the eye. At the Farmers' Market, people stop by our table
to TOUCH them, exclaiming, "They ARE real!" We sell them for
$1-2 per stem. That's real, too.
