Outstanding!
Sharon,
Here is a picture of a portion of our 2006
garden. Some of the Zinnias are almost 5'11". This picture was taken about
two weeks ago.
Thank you for your latest email. I can't
believe how large some of the blossoms are this year. One thing you can do
for me - if you have any flowers that are variegated - some of my Zinnias
are white with red stripes or splotches (I call them candy cane) or yellow
and red and a couple of other combinations. I would like some of that kind
of seed.

These are a hybrid, very difficult to get to come true from seed! I will
send him some of these or our Whirligigs as a gift for these wonderful
photos!]

Sharon,
I am sending two pictures taken yesterday. some
zinnias are showing as well as the 6 1/2' cosmos and other things. As you
can see things did well this year. I am just sending you these for you to
see but if you choose to use them, go ahead. BTW, that's me in the picture.
Paul

Sharon,
You asked for pictures. The close-up includes a
hummingbird in action. I have seen more hummingbirds this year than in
the whole rest of my life. There are 4 or 5 at a time in this bed.

Inner Fire |

"When we find ourselves looking at
the world and saying, 'There's nothing out there for me,' we should
probably also look into our hearts and ask, 'If there's nothing out
there, is there anything in here?' We need to examine our inner dialogue
to discover where we might be blocking the conscious energy flow, then
remove the ego, step out of the way, and let the fire of the soul shine
through us."

Vicky, your words reflect my feelings

Hi, here are 2 pictures of the
zinnias that I planted from your seeds. We have gotten so many
compliments on them, and couldn't believe how tall they grew. Some
are over 5ft. tall. I planted them according to the design that you
made for me. I am really sad that fall is here, and that they are
starting to die out, but will look forward to next year!

Mike is a very unorthodox and knowledgeable gardener. He simplifies and
reduces cost of many tasks and gives you excellent pointers.
Sharon, I am not sure what the grass dragon
really is, but it was about 2 inches long and in the grass/weeds of my
garden. I remember doodle bugs when I was growing up, and was told
that they turn into some type of "dragon". Sand dragon?. It was
beautiful, there were actually two of them that day. My friends are
looking forward to some real Zs, not Walmart ones. Three people have
told me that, since I ordered them. Your zinnias, two years ago
pleased so many people. My boss's wife received over 100 blooms. Zs
are her favorite. And I only took one percent of the blooms. I got
tired of cutting them. Not really, but it got to be a chore because
of the tremendous number of blooms. I was stopping cars as they drove
by, and giving them a bouquet of Zs. I got so many thank yous. Plus,
I enjoyed the dickens out of them. And you had to look hard at the
over two hundred plants, to find two blooms alike. I have great
friends. We share water lilies, cassia, milkweed and everything that
butterflies and hummers enjoy. Have you ever heard of red tithonias?
They are a great butterfly attractant. Especially for giant
swallowtails and zebras. They propagate similar to the Zs.

Freedom From Circumstances
|
|
"If there is truly nothing that you
can do to change your here and now, and you can't remove yourself from
the situation, then accept your here and now totally by dropping all
inner resistance. The false, unhappy self that loves feeling miserable,
resentful, or sorry for itself can then no longer survive. This is
called surrender. Surrender is not weakness. There is great strength in
it. Only a surrendered person has spiritual power. Through surrender you
will be free internally of the situation. You may then find that the
situation changes without any effort on your part. In any case, you are
free."
