"Tink"
"What we endure shows our courage." -- Flavia Weedn Jeffery Barker, a Freelance Fantasy Illustrator, has been published nationally in a number of Gaming magazines. He's painted murals for local Michigan companies, and worked in graphic design for a Muskegon, Michigan-based newspaper. Jeff's an enormously talented man, and the photo that confirms this best for me is his rendition of "Fairy in my pocket." (left) His model for this pose and daughter, Marilyn, loves Tinker Bell. Jeff & Jean Marie got her the costume at the local Disney Store, complete with sparkling wings and pale green slippers. Jeff took a pose of his daughter, transformed into Tinker Bell, and created a wonderful emerald green Charmer, so pleasing to the eye and senses that it immediately resonates with you and all things mystical and magical about our lives - or should I say, what we'd WISH would be our lives. If I could choose any Fairy in the world to watch over and accompany me on my life's journey, it would be this "Fairy in my pocket" - my grand-daughter, Marilyn Josephine.
Jeff studied at Eastern Michigan University and has a Certificate in Advertising and Illustration from Art Instruction Schools of Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of his favorite works was a Spiderman fantasy illustration rendered for an impromptu art class at the mall. He particularly enjoys doing life size figure illustrations in the "wash technique." Media specialties include pen and ink, acrylic watercolors, and airbrush. He can also work with you to build a first class website.
